I set this table last year about this time with the intention of sharing it here on the blog and I don’t think I ever got around to it.
I had just finished embroidering these napkins with my new Bernina sewing machine and I loved how they turned out. These were the first napkins I had embroidered so, I was pretty impressed with myself.
Added to the fact that these are some of my favorite dishes with favorite chargers, favorite ironstone, pewter candlesticks are also my favorite. I guess this is a table of favorites.
None of these items are new. Well the thread was new! The napkins were a World Market find from at least 20 years ago. My Villory Bach Audun are always a favorite around here.
I love the pattern play and of course the fact that they are transfer ware makes them all the sweeter. They pair so nicely with the Mackenzie-Childs Courtly Check chargers (so glad I invested in 8 of these) and the Ralph Lauren Houndstooth glasses were a great Tuesday Morning find years ago.
The flatware is actually pewter from the 80’s that I brought from my moms home and I have surprised myself with how often I’ve used it.
And those pewter candlesticks oh, I love love, love them.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know how I love to set a fun table so enjoy this one. Not a flower in sight! Except of course those small faux stems. I hope you gain some inspiration for your own table.
Thanks for stopping
Shelley
